# TWS Introduction
The World State (TWS) is a **fully decentralized Web3 platform** designed to unite people and promote self-governance for communities and organizations, based on the principles of Direct Democracy.
TWS offers a wide suite of Web3 services and solutions tailored for every community, requiring **no coding skills** and **fully customizable**.
TWS provides individuals, communities, organizations with huge opportunities by creating an environment of verified participants and reliable information.
Citizens of TWS and community members interact with a decentralized on-chain protocol directly, without any mediation from moderators and administrators. All activities and options are automated, predictable, and transparent.

The TWS protocol operates on the POS Polygon blockchain, which ensures security comparable to Ethereum, but with very low network gas fees and higher transaction speeds. For instance, the gas fee for voting is less than $0.01 (1 cent).
